Some more pictures and stories of Spain

This is Bent Paradise, one of the founders of Christiania, the independent city in Copenhagen Denmark, founded in 1971. He was a character. I wouldn't have dared go to Christiania without his presence. This is a nice picture of Helsingborg, Sweden. That day, I went to a castle in Denmark, then traveled 20 minutes by ferry to Helsingborg, Sweden. I spent 40 minutes there, then traveled back, rode the train, then bus, and walked a little to my hosts' home and arrived only a few minutes late for dinner!!!

This is Vor Frelsers Kirke where the original Christus statue and the statues of the 12 apostles are. They were sculpted by Bertol Thorvaldsen. I went to the Thorvaldsen museum the next day. He did beautiful work. Neoclassical style

This is me in front of the famous "Little Mermaid" statue. She's supposedly the mermaid in Hans Christian Andersen's story.

This is the Fredericksborg Castle. I almost fell in the Kings toilet (more like a latrine with a nice wooden seat). I told the security guard that it would have been a place of great honor to have died in. He wasn't so sure about that. But it was a hilarious situation for me and for the security guard. Thank goodness he had a great sense of humor!

These are the gardens of the Kroner Castle in Hellerup. They were beautiful and I walked and walked for hours. I truly think this is one of the best pictures I took there. I couldn't seen the end of the tunnel of trees. I felt like a princess...of course waiting for my prince to ride up and to be swept up onto his horse and to fly like lightening through the woods....well not really.

Kroners Castle. One thing I loved about the Danish queen and king is that they seem so down to earth. They even let famous visitors scratch their names in the windows of the castle with a ring. So, I saw William and Hillary Clinton's names and President and Laura Bushs' signature too.

This is a very famous street in Copenhagen. Hans Christian Anderson lived here for a while.
